Digital Nature Trails

Overview

Description

Winterbourne and Frome Valley Environmental Group (WEG) is a community action group in South Gloucestershire (UK). The goal for this project was to design and create a web app that would highlight community natural assets around the Frome Valley River and encourage completion of pre-mapped nature routes.

My Role

Throughout this project, I worked as a freelance UX/UI designer. Furthermore, I was also acting as the project manager and my responsibilities included communicating with the client and updating them on the progress, collaborating with the developer to ensure smooth implementation of my designs, and preparing the handover documentation for both the client and the developer.

Research

After the initial conversations with the client, the target audience for the web app has been established. I then conducted the initial user research and competitor analysis. I have summarised the research findings and created three personas along with the user journey maps.
